Mike Volpe

Mike Volpe started his career in South Florida, first as a stagehand and later as a Master Electrician and Production Rigger. In 1999 he decided he was ready to take a leadership role on shows. He then brought his expertise to Marlyn Productions to pursue his goal and became a Technical Director and Stage Manger.

Prior to joining Marlyn he worked on many large events, ranging from the 1994 and 1999 Woodstock concerts, to the 1996 Olympic Games, and the Pope’s visit to New York City. Mike also gained extensive theater experience heading up various departments at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Since joining Marlyn, Mike has worked on many diverse projects, both large and small. He’s been Technical Director for major drug launches, encompassing multiple sites and entire convention centers. Mike was the Show Director for the launch of the Las Vegas Monorail which was spread out over the length of the Las Vegas Strip. He continues to work on annual projects for MTV Networks including their Town Hall Meetings, Upfronts, and Sales retreats. In addition to the work done in the US, Mike has worked on international shows as well. He was the Technical Director for the Fortune Global Forum Dinner in Beijing in 2005 at the Temple of Heaven and has done extensive work in Europe this past year for global clients such as Marsh and Diageo. Mike brings a great deal of technical experience to our clients’ productions in addition to being fast on his feet when it comes to making the right decisions for your show.
