Michael Kurtz
Michael Kurtz joins the Marlyn Team as a scenic designer, and technical director. His background stems from a love of architecture, which he studied for two years at Lehigh University. Michael began his career in the field working as a carpenter and electrician for local theater companies. After becoming interested in design he attended NYU where he received his BFA in scenic design. After designing sets and lights for theaters around the county, and holding the job of assistant technical director at the Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey, Michael returned to school to earn his MFA in scenic design from Brandeis University.
Michael is recently married and when he is not working on productions, he can probably be found at The Stadium (Yankees of course) with his wife Kathleen. In the off season Michael enjoys skiing, traveling, and stone sculpting.
